Course Work Currently teaching: Industrial Distribution Enterprise (graduate—IDIS 674) This course focuses on building, achieving and sustaining a competitive advantage. Organizational environmental changes resulting from globalization effects, industrial distribution culture and organizational factors are explored. The nature of business level strategy and its relationship to performance are studied. Case analyses are emphasized. Distribution Profitability Analysis (graduate—IDIS 664) This course involves integrating advanced financial and accounting analysis useful to distribution executives in assessing the financial performance of distribution operations. Students are exposed to concepts and techniques involved in using financial statements and industrial distribution industry studies to manage cash flow, debt, working capital, risk, capital budgeting, credit, receivables, inventory, personnel, and profitability. Distributor Operations and Financial Management (undergraduate—IDIS 364) Students in this course learn the assessment of firm performance utilizing financial statement analysis and industry studies; methods for planning; implementing and monitoring profitability from distributor operations; procedures for controlling cash flow; credit; receivables; inventory; personnel, productivity, profitability, and related financial operations.
