CNC Bridgeport Laboratory

This laboratory emphasizes Computer-Aided Design and Computer-Aided Machining. Laboratory exercises include several part and tool computer designs and machining on Computer Numeric Controlled machines. Students generate electronic and printed drawings, process sheets showing machining operations, required tool lists and the machine coding required to machine their tools and parts. It is equipped with software in the areas of 3D modeling, Finite Element Analysis, DFMA, process planning and computer manufacturing with emphasis on integrating these functions and execution systems on the shop floor. The new CAM Laboratory is equipped with new CNC vertical mills and lathes in collaboration with Haas Automation Educational Program.
