Outstanding EET Senior Award Christopher Nickolaus Landry |

Mr. Chris Landry was born in Lafayette, Louisiana and moved to Texas when he was just two years old and has lived here since. He will be receiving a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Electronics Engineering Technology from Texas A&M University in the Spring semester of 2009. After graduation, he will be moving up to Fort Worth and beginning his work with Oncor Electric Delivery. During his time with the Department of Engineering Technology and Industrial Distribution, Mr. Landry served as Vice President of Tau Alpha Pi Honors Society from Spring 2008 to present. He, along with three other officers, helped rebuild the society that consisted of a single member only a year ago. It now has membership of over 20 people. Foundations for new Tau Alpha Pi events were also put into place during his term including a formal induction ceremony for recognizing new members and a robotic competition held between high schools to help encourage interest in the field of engineering technology.
Outstanding TET Senior Award
Kevin Schmidt is a member of the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Class of 2009. When he started at A&M, he was accepted directly into the Telecommunications Engineering Technology program. Kevin has served as an executive officer in several student organizations and is a member of the Tau Alpha Pi honor society. He currently manages his own small professional sound and DJ company in addition to being a full time student at Texas A&M. Kevin has volunteered for major events such as the Aggie Relay for Life, Big Event, and Shattered Dreams. He enjoys hobbies such as web design and other technology oriented things. Kevin also enjoys music, concerts, playing instruments such as guitar and drums, and being an active part of the local music scene.
Outstanding EET/IEEE TechSenior Award
Kosta Papasideris is a native Houstonian and first generation American. Born to Greek parents, he is the first of his family to graduate from a university, and will do so in May 2009 with a degree in Electronics Engineering Technology. As an undergraduate, Kosta served two terms as the Electronics Engineering Technology student branch President of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). Mr. Papasideris would like to thank the ETID faculty and staff for shaping his definition of student and leader, and becoming his second family.
