Industrial Distribution Outstanding Seniors

 

Landon M. Carl, ID Outstanding Service Senior

Landon graduated with a 3.731 GPR, was commissioned to enter the United States Army an hour before graduating.  While attending Texas A&M University, Landon was engulfed in many leadership roles and achievements.  Perhaps his most distinguished leadership role was his involvement in Sigma Delta, the honor society for Industrial Distribution.  Landon served as Vice President his junior year and President his senior year.  While in the Corps of Cadets, Landon served as Chaplain, the officer in command of the company’s (85 personnel) spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical needs.  He also served as the company’s Scholastics Officer, being responsible for the scholastics.  For two years Landon served as the Honor Guard for the Governor of Texas, provide military ceremonies for weddings, funerals, and memorials as a member of the Ross Volunteer Company.  Landon was a Co-director of Development for the Abbott Family Leadership Conference raising $20,000 of development to fund a student led leadership conference in Austin, Texas.

Mary Beth Hebert, ID Outstanding Senior

Mary Beth graduated with a 3.522 GPR, and will be working with Lockheed Martin.  While attending Texas A&M University, Mary Beth has been involved with PAID (Professional Association for Industrial Distribution) serving as a Career Fair Team Leader, 50th Anniversary Event Chair, Senior Career Fair Officer, and President.  Mary Beth has also been a distinguished member of PAID all four years of her involvement, following in her father’s footsteps.  As well as her involvement with PAID Mary Beth also served as Treasurer of Sigma Delta honor Society, working to maintain a budget for the organization and to distribute the funds accordingly.
